Women Giving Back was founded in June, 2007, by a core group of building industry sales and marketing professionals. The goal is to supplement the great work HomeAid NoVA is doing in building shelters by helping the transitionally homeless women and children get on their feet with clothes to help them enter the workplace.
These women can shop for professional work-oriented clothing and accessories without charge. Volunteers collect the clothing and open WGB – The Store on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. WGB, The Store is held in its new location at 1110 Herndon Pkwy., Herndon, VA.
Women from 100 shelters and programs are invited to shop each month. Their smiles are all the thanks you will need.
WGB has distributed over 50,000 items of clothing to women from over 100 shelters in Northern Virginia. We literally have to restock each month, and need continual donations of good quality clothing.
