On Target to Prevent and End Homelessness Event in the Fairfax–Falls Church Community

Join Target, the Office to Prevent and End Homelessness and local partner nonprofits on August 21, 2010 as we come together to raise awareness about the issue of homelessness in our Fairfax-Falls Church community.

Basic needs items for homeless families and individuals (including personal and cleaning supplies) will be purchased on August 20 by Target volunteers across the county. Click here to download the wish list. We encourage all volunteers to purchase additional items and donate them to the event so that we can help as many people as possible.

We need your help to sort and package the items for distribution to those in need. This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity - children and adults of all ages are welcome. In addition to the volunteer project, a variety of fun and educational activities will be offered to participants so that we can all learn about the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Partnership on Ending Homelessness.

For additional information, please contact Amy Marlow, Assistant Director of Development, FACETS, at 703-352-6342.

Thank you for your interest. Together we can make a positive difference for those who are struggling to make ends meet!
