The Good Shepherd Alliance is hosting our 5th Annual Walkathon on Saturday, September 19, 2009. Our Walk through historic downtown Leesburg promotes community awareness of the needs of the homeless and near-homeless in our community. We want to stand together as individuals, businesses, churches and community organizations to express that we will help each other and understand the need to be unified in our efforts to support each other.

This year’s event promises to be an enjoyable family day with many fun family activities following the walk including a moon bounce, face painting, animal balloons and a free grilled hot dog lunch. You can come, bring a blanket and have a nice family day.

We want to ask you to consider sponsorship of our Walkathon this year through:

• Personal or business sponsorship opportunities
• Promoting the event with your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers
• And by getting others to sponsor you to walk with us.

There are numerous opportunities for sponsorship from $100 on up.

Please note that in order to receive your 5th Annual Walkathon T-Shirt, we need to have just the registration form prior to September 7, 2009. (T-Shirts for children under 10 can be purchased for $4.50). The registration can be faxed to 703-832-0340, or emailed to administration@loudounhomeless.org.

Sponsorship forms can be turned in anytime prior to or the day of the walk. Signed waiver forms must be turned in prior to walking.
