Clothing donations are accepted the second Wednesday and Friday of each month from 4 to 6 pm, as well as on the second Saturday from 9am to noon. Drop-offs may also be made by appointment. Contact Marjie at 703-554-9386 to make arrangements.
It is very important that we keep track of the approximate value of all items donated to us, for our own accounting purposes, but also so that we can provide tax-deductible donation receipts recognizing your gift! If you are planning to donate clothing, please download the DONATION VALUE WORKSHEET*, fill it out and include it with your donation. This worksheet provides us with the number that we will use to issue the receipt – please include your name, as well as an e-mail/home address so that we may send you the receipt! Thank you!
We cannot accept athletic or men’s clothing at this time.
Additionally, we can best serve our clients by providing clothing that is both in style and in excellent condition – a “new” item of clothing is often all that is needed for many of the women and children who visit us to leave with lighter hearts and a more confident spirit. We therefore ask that all donations be clean and hole/stain free.
Please remember that donations that come to us clean, ready to go, and on hangers save our volunteers hours of sorting time!
