Annual HomeAid Impact Report
In 2016, HomeAid marked its 15th anniversary by completing seven building and renovation projects for Northern Virginia homeless shelters and providers. Thanks to the generosity of our Builder Captains and Trade Partners, we were able to cover two-thirds of the cost for these projects, which:
- Saved our shelter partners $677,515. Those funds could then be directed toward job skills and other programs designed to help people get back on their feet.
- Helped 1,871 individuals who were facing homelessness.
- Built or refurbished more than 19,000 square feet of space for shelters and providers that serve the homeless.
Harder to quantify, but no less tangible, is the role that this housing plays in giving individuals the confidence and opportunity needed to work toward a brighter future.
